Jungfrau 4158m

 The Jungfrau at 4158m is the most renown 4,000 meter peak in Berner Oberland. This two day tour starts from the Mönchsjochhütte (3650m), which is an hour walk from the Jungfraujoch

Requirements

  • good physical condition
  • completely confident climbing ice and walking varied terrain with crampons on
  • well acclimatised

Programme Two day tour
Day 1: 17.00 Meet your mountain guide at Jungfraujoch Cafe Bar in the hall way entrance. 
From the Jungfraujoch (3454m) over the gently ascending Jungfraufirn to the Mönchsjoch hut for dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: 04.00 - 05.00 Breakfast and start the Jungrau Tour. From the Mönchsjoch hut, head back direction Jungfraujoch. The route takes you across the Jungfraufirn to the Felssporn (p.3411m). Climb over rock followed by snow and ice up to the Rottalsattel. From here the steep route leads you to the majestic Jungfrau summit.

From the Mönchsjoch hut, five hours up and four back down to the Jungfraujoch

  • plastic mountain boots or hard bottome boots designed for crampon attachments. No trekking shoes.

Cancellation
Whatever your reason for cancelling the trip please inform us as soon as possible.
A minimum of SFr.50.- will be charged for operational costs.

Payment
You should pay the full amount cash before your trip

Insurance
We strongly recommend you take out an insurance policy to cover mountain accident and rescue transportation. Helicopter insurance (only rescue transportaion) can be purchased for SFr.30.- per person / per year with REGA, which covers the whole of Switzerland. Click REGA for more information.
